FTKMC traces its origins to the erstwhile MCX Centre of Academia: Consultancy and Training, a department of Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) of India ltd. FTKMC offers short-term and long-term training programmes and also provides consultancy services.

These programmes aim to leverage the knowledge and domain expertise possessed by Financial Technologies Group to impart quality education about the financial markets and create financial market specialists. FTKMC also offers customized consultancy to its clients which comprise Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Electricals and HCL Technologies among others. The key assignments undertaken by FTKMC include customizing risk management solutions for corporates, setting up of commodity desks for trading and hedging, risk management consultancy solutions for MCX members and developing valuation models for commodity and other financial derivatives.
